Editing pictures on our smartphones have never been so straightforward and convenient thanks to the endless number of apps available out there. Today, another one has joined the list – Fabby, which brings a hassle-free way for adding and altering backgrounds of your images. In this article, we walk you through its core features and how to use them.

First off, head over to the play store or Apple’s app store for downloading the app which is entirely free of cost. Once that’s done, launch the application.

On the landing screen, you’ll be treated with a camera interface if you’d like to capture a new shot, or you can just tap the gallery button on the bottom left, and select an already saved picture. After choosing one, Fabby will process the image which won’t take much of your time.

You can now apply a range of fancy filters or blur the entire background from the second tab. The “walls” section provides you with a ton of wallpapers like beaches, cities, gradients, and a whole lot more. However, my favorite feature is present on the final category – custom. Here, you can upload another picture you own and the app will intelligently merge both of them to create the image of your dreams. On iOS, you get a couple more tools, and the most interesting of them all is definitely the ability to edit backgrounds of selfie videos or vlogs.

For those who prefer a step-by-step procedure, here you go,

  • Head over to the play store or Apple’s app store for downloading the app which is entirely free of cost.
  • Launch the application.
  • On the landing screen, you’ll be treated with a camera interface if you’d like to capture a new shot, or you can just tap the gallery button on the bottom left, and select an already saved picture.
  • You can now apply a range of fancy filters or blur the entire background from the second tab.
  • The “walls” section provides you with a ton of wallpapers like beaches, cities, gradients, and a whole lot more.
  • However, you’re probably reading this for the “custom” tab present at the end of the list. Here, you can upload another picture you own and the app will intelligently merge both of them to create the image of your dreams.

But then, these effects are certainly not perfect. Unless the foreground can be easily differentiated, the app will have some issues adjusting these views, and fusing them. That being said, it does function flawlessly most of the times I tried testing it.

Once you’re done with the editing, tap the little arrow, and either share or save the output. Unfortunately, you can’t remove the “#FABBY” watermark on Android, there’s only the option of cropping it out of the frame. If you’re on iOS, though, there’s a setting to turn it off.

That’s it for this quick guide, let us know in the comments section if we missed something worthy.
